The Route

Friday 06 June - Travel from London to Yorkshire

We’ll meet at Kings Cross Station mid-day on 06 June and catch the train to Yorskshire.

When you arrive in Yorkshire you will need to get to a transfer to the 3-Peaks Bunk House where you will be staying for the weekend (3 min taxi or 10 minute walk).

It will be a relaxed evening where you will have a hearty meal and be able to meet your fellow walkers, the TFA Support team, and our Mountain leader Dan Rogers. Dan will provide you with all the information you need and can tell you more about the 43km walk you will be doing on the following day.

After a chat and meeting others we strongly urge you all to get an early night so you will be fresh and ready to go at 6.30am on Saturday mroning.

Saturday 07 June - The Yorkshire 3-Peaks

43 km | 1,065m elevation

Our day will start at 6.00 with breakfast in the bunkhouse. A selection of pastries, cereals, toast, fruit, and hot drinks will be the perfect carb-start we need to get the energy we need for our first peak, Ingleborough.

We will summit Ingleborough as a group and then descend for a well-earned break. You will have access to a cafe here with toilet facilities and a chance to grab a snack and hot drink. This will be a mixture of chocolate-covered flapjacks, chocolate biscuits, fruitcake and hot chocolate, or tea/coffee.

We will then start our walk to summit Whernside. This will be via the Sandy Hill Viaduct, giving some beautiful views and the perfect opportunity for a photo. Following this we will stop for our lunch (pack lunch provided) and have the knowledge that we will have completed two out of three peaks and just one to go, Pen-y-Ghent

By now you will be warmed up and I’m sure the last peak will be no problem at all. After completing Pen-y-Gent we will return to the bunkhouse, for a celebratory meal and a few drinks and re-live the memories of our fantastic day!

Sunday 08 June - Return to London

After a more leisurely start we will have breakfast, pack our bags and then catch the train back to London.

We will book the group on the same morning train to arrive back in London in the afternoon.

If you do wish to stay in Yorkshire longer please let us know as soon as possible so we can make the right travel arrangements for you and incur as little additional travel costs as possible.
